Accusation Lecture

Dora brought the heat last night on accusation. So... got any questions, comments, revelations, problems, concerns?

Lord of the Rings fan comments are also welcome.

  1. I've had several questions about what happens after you get rid of accusation and leave behind those prefabricated personalities. How do you figure out who you are after years of not knowing?

I've asked the Lord to reveal this to me. And, he has! He's pointed out scripture, given my community words for me, and in general put me in situations that give me some insight. Ladies, He knows you and he'd be happy to show you who you are.

I'd love some more input on this.

  2. Hey Rachel - Do you mean more input on how to rid of prefabricated personalities and how to know who God has made you to be?

  3. I definitely agree with Rachel about asking God to reveal to you who you are! Here are other thoughts:

    1. When you're faced with an opportunity to act in a way that is in agreement with the "old" fabricated personality, just STOP the behavior and ask the Lord what to do (many times it's the opposite behavior). Just stopping the chain of actions you would normally and asking God what to do next will help usher out the way God made you. For instance, my fabricated personality was hard and tough outer shell. In walking out, I had to make decisions to not be hard and tough. What came out instead what openness and tenderness. I heard God saying to me, 'I made you sweet and loving... be vulnerable and trust me with your heart." Another friend of mine had a big spirit of fear. In walking about of fear, he would hear the Lord direct him in situations where he had to be bold. I think sometimes our fabricated personalities are opposite of who God actually made us to be.

    2. Ask and receive community (as Rachel also mentioned).
The people we are connected to as the Body of Christ and can speak his words to us. I've learned a lot about myself and my gifts through other people telling me what they see.

So, real personalities, COME ON OUT! :) As long as we stay hidden behind our old patterns of behaviors, WE ARE ROBBING EACH OTHER of God's blessing through our gifts to each other, His Body. It's only as a Body, when we all come together and are acting in each of our gifts, that we experience the fullness of Christ (Eph 4). How exciting!
